Dennis Cady, former Pinal County Planning and Development Director
According to Joe Pyritz, Pinal County Information Officer, Dennis Cady, former director of Pinal's Planning and Development Department is no longer in the employ of Pinal County.

Asked Jan. 24  if Cady was fired or quit, Pyritz said he didn't know.

Asked when Cady left, Pyritz said he didn't know.  "I came back January 3rd and he was gone," said Pyritz.

Asked asked if anyone in county government would have more information, Pyritz said, "no one can really comment because it was a personnel decision."

Asked that,  "If it was a personnel decision, then it sounds like Cady didn't have a choice."  Pyritz said he couldn't comment because it was a personnel decision.

Pinal County is advertising the job on their web site.  The job description says the job "may involve highly sensitive and political issues."

Cady lead the writing of the controversial Pinal Comprehensive Plan which was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on Dec. 19, a few days prior to the state mandated deadline of Dec. 31.

Cady's boss is Pinal County Manager, Stanley Griffis.

The plan will undergo major revisions in the latter part of this year to correct flaws identified at the Dec. 19 hearing and the Citizens Advisory Committee will remain active until the revisions are made.

As of press time, The Oracle has not been able to contact Cady.
